The Canadian dollar jumped versus its U.S. counterpart on Tuesday after the Bank of Canada hinted that it could resume raising interest rates if the economy continues expanding. “Although the BoC left interest rates unchanged at 1%, they are preparing the market for a resumption of tightening,” said Kathy Lien, director of currency research for GFT.
